Good evening everyone! I will be blogging during the day but seeing as I am new to all this I’m still learning how to use all of my tools. But that being said it’s never too late to have a chat! I’d like to talk about some of the struggles that lately I have had as a dance educator / choreographer. I feel like one of my biggest problems is finding appropriate music for that 7 to 12 age range. I find myself trying to find a lot of covers of songs and having a hard time using original mixes, which I don’t want to downgrade the artist by trying to find a new artist singing their song but I’m finding that songs just don’t have the quality that they used to when I was young dancer and most songs Just sound the same or just downright inappropriate especially for the above age range. And no one wants to do the same old pop songs, I try to stay away from pop songs in general are really anything on the radio since it’s played out so much. By time you finish a routine you’re sick of the song. I always end up finding something but it’s never an easy task. I’m wondering if you guys have any go to ways that ease this dilemma, or if you share in the same frustrations. Leave your comments below, let’s chat!
It’s a new dawn, it’s a new day!
